Forrest Bathing

Nature Therapy in NSW: Forest Bathing (Shinrin-yoku) at Kenzell Farm

Forrest bathing.

Rooted in the Japanese practice of Shinrin-yoku, introduced in the 1980s as a way to reduce stress and reconnect with the natural world, forest bathing is less about walking distance and more about presence. At Kenzell Farm, wander through native bushland, follow the curve of flowing creeks, and breathe in the fresh mountain air.

Unplug from the world. Reconnect with the wild.

Join us at Kenzell Farm for a peaceful forest bathing experience — a two-hour guided walk through our serene private woodland on the stunning western edge of the World Heritage-listed Blue Mountains.

We begin with a warm welcome before gently wandering into the trees. Along the way, you'll be guided through a series of simple, sensory invitations — pausing to notice sounds, textures, light, and stillness. There’s no pressure to talk or do anything in particular — just space to slow down, take notice, and let your body and mind settle.

We finish with a quiet cup of herbal tea shared under the canopy — a calm, grounding moment to reflect and return, refreshed.
